Technology can be great, but you have to be able to trust it.

This is one heck of an interesting story. I read about it when they did the test back in 2013 with the Prius, but in that situation they had to be physically connected to the car (below).

I wondered how long it would take till they were able to do it through a wireless connection. I thought the next limitation would be with attempting to connect via Bluetooth and its limited distance. I was wrong, with most of the manufacturers moving towards cars that have access to the Internet it had basically made the distance unlimited.

The thought of someone sitting on their couch and deciding to shut down all the lanes on I-5 in the middle of rush hour is a bit concerning. I really hope that they are taking this seriously and going to separate the systems physically so it makes them much harder to backdoor from one to another.

With all this you might see the appeal of the older, more simple cars grow in the near future.

Our time with this beautiful little BMW Z4 Coupe was short but sweet!

We got to say a happy, yet sorrowful goodbye to this little guy yesterday....

Every once in a while a car will grab my attention and demand to be noticed, this was one of those. The 2008 Z4 3.0is coupe is a very special car and I expect it to gain some serious traction as a collectible in the near future, the body lines demand to be looked at, the engine loves to rev, and it eagerly anticipates the apexes of winding roads and tight corners.
At first I thought the seats were hard and the bolsters tight, I soon learned that the coupe was 40% stiffer than the convertible and the extra "grab" from the seats was more than just necessary and readily appreciated.
With a quick push of the "Sport" button the car would change driving characteristics from a "Sunday cruiser" mode into a "Track Day" mode. Push  the DSC(traction control) button you are able to turn off the straight line traction control while maintaining the side to side stability control. Push and hold you will eventually disable the whole system and allow for some tail out engine singing happy times!
We'll all miss this pretty face, but maybe it will come back to us when/if the new owners ever decide to part ways with it again. I made it known that I would be more than happy to have it back.

The view from our lot yesterday.

We've had quite the week with the wildfires and industrial fire that was caused by hot debris that were carried by the heat and wind. Thankfully we have an amazing fire department and got a great response from surrounding communities. A HUGE thank you To all the emergency responders that have done so much for our community.
